Through monitoring and evaluating the impact of our work we have gained valuable insight.

Listening has taught our students to hear and appreciate other peoples' perspectives and opinions.

They have become more considered in their own opinions and better able to formulate and articulate their views.

Topic research is stimulating their curiosity and they are growing intellectually as they expand their minds and their horizons.

Students have become more engaged with and understand the value of learning.

Schools are reporting a substantial positive impact on students’ work, engagement in class and positive participation in the culture of the school.

Students are now more likely to take action for positive change in their communities.

Disadvantaged young people are acquiring either the skills needed for employment or the self-belief needed to apply for higher education.

Students are displaying a greater social and political awareness of their country and the importance of democracy and their active participation in it.

While doing matric, I had no idea what I wanted to study. The debating programme gave me confidence, made me interested in public speaking and sparked a love of debating in me. As a result I decided to study law, and I am now a proud final year law student who still loves debating. I have also been a facilitator for Tore’s Foundation since I finished school and was recently appointed its operations manager. Tore's Foundation helps to guide and mould your future and supports and inspires it.
